Clearly I am a lover of the little things. But sometimes life can throw you something big. And that is also very loveable.

Racy vs Racewear
This is something I've wanted to discuss for a long time.
When did racewear get so darn racy?
Backless dresses, micro mini skirts, plunging necklines, sheer fabrics and heavy makeup. A very difficult and sensitive argument I know, because ultimately who decides on what is 'appropriate' and what is not? And should there really be rules when it comes to fashion?
I just believe that racewear deserves some respect. Something can be fun & flirty and still brush the knees, fitted and elegant and still allow you to bend over. A little imagination is all you need.
Now it's your say, what do you think? Am I just a prude, hooked on tradition who desperately needs to get with the times? OR, is it time for racewear to raise the bar?

The swing of things.
I've been lacking spare time and a clear head this past month and a half. Which means my blog has been seriously neglected and I feel downright awful about it.
I figured I wasn't going to post anything until I had something really awesome to share with you all. Truth is, it may not be very awesome to anyone other than myself!
Anyway, I've recently purchased a few new pieces (yes that means outfit shoots are coming!), practiced a few new tricks on the camera and scratched my head some more about creating a proper blogger identity. A true mixture of soul searching and f*cking around, the immediate result is a shiny new 'About TLT' profile page!
Check it out and let me know what you think. I'm getting back in the swing of things.

Alexander Wang – Behavioural Scientist?
Wednesday, 31 July 2013
I fell for a bird.
I was walking past a clothing shop when something feathery and colourful caught my eye.

Another reason why I love LOVER.
You can't get more pretty or more pure than the 2013 LOVER campaign featuring British model Karen Elson.

You're Kidman me.
I have never been a very big fan of Nicole Kidman. So when I heard that Jimmy Choo had chosen her to be the face of their latest campaign I wasn't exactly excited to see the results.
A different view
The other day I came across a fascinating quote. At first I was extremely surprised that I had never heard or seen this quote before... especially seeing as Alexander Wang, a designer I'm very fond of, was the one who said it.
The Why
Eventually I will publish five posts illustrating the meaning (if any) of 'why' I am here (Who, What, Where, When and Why). In no particular order.
I am not a very good writer and I am not a very good photographer... and these are two qualities that I believe define a good blogger.
So why am I here?
Well for the simple fact that I've got a voice (or more so a capable keyboard), and I love* fashion*.
*The only reason I say love is because it's the easiest way to describe my unhealthy obsession, fascination, respect and overwhelming desire for clothing, accessories, shoes, hats, hairstyles, makeup, sunglasses, bags and any other luxury items.
*The only reason I say fashion is because it's the easiest way to summarize the stylish, elegant, iconic, exclusive, funky, glamorous, timeless and unique designer goods that I long to posses.

Luxury
Q: What makes something or someone great? What puts you at the top of the game?
I'm talking about clothing designers, cars, or an architectural masterpiece. I'm talking about anything with an outrageous price tag and a reputation to boot. Whether little or big, service or product, I'm talking about luxury.
A: I believe that it's attention to detail. It's when passion oozes out of the product. It's when you touch or see something, and this simple act can make you feel like the luckiest person on earth. It's also about exclusivity. Sadly it's the sort of thing that contradicts the expression "that feeling money can't buy", because most of the time you really do need money...
The bottom line, I love luxury. Even if I can rarely afford it.
